This red brick looks like is has a german schmear on top. German schmear is a masonry technique that involves applying a thin layer of mortar to a brick or stone surface and then wiping some of it off to create a textured, whitewashed appearance.  It's also known as a mortar wash.  It has great detail and very realistic.
